Creating a Gmail account
Let’s learn to create an account using the email service, “Gmail”.
Creating a Gmail account
An email is a secure way to send and receive messages, files, or pictures to your friends and family

Creating a Gmail account
Here are some of the most commonly used internet browsers

Creating a Gmail account
Open the browser and Type: “gmail.com” Into the address bar located at the very top of your screen.

Creating a Gmail account
Now, we will click on the “Create an account” button

Creating a Gmail account
Here put in your first and (optional) last name
For an example we will use Linda Rivera

Creating a Gmail account
Next, we provide some basic information, starting with
our date of birth and gender.
Note:
Again, if this is your FIRST or MAIN email use your actual birthday or write the date you use. And put in a gender (male/ female)

Choosing your email address
This is where we will create our email address. If this is your first email it is best to have your real name somehow incorporated.
Note:
This address is visible to anyone receiving an email from you.
Think of it as your mailing address.

Choosing a strong password
From our lesson "Password Creation" you will know how to create a password (remember to write it down)
You will next come to the password creation screen

Creating a recovery email
Now we are asked to add "a recovery email"
This is a safety/ security feature. Doing so allows you to access your email easily if something goes wrong.
If you do not have another email or just don't want to use this feature click "skip"

Adding a recovery number
The next screen you come to is "add a phone number"
Like adding a "recovery email" this is safety/ security feature
and can also be skipped. But you should use one of these features.

Verify a recovery number
If you DO choose to use this feature. You put in you cellphone number. You will receive a 6-digit code via text message to verify

Review account information
And finally, we “review account info”. Staying with the example of Linda Rivera. This is Linda’s new email.
If everything looks good, click next and you will now have access your new gmail account.
