Sending a text with an iPhone
First find and touch the pre-installed iMessage app on your iPhone there is only one, it looks like the image above.

Once you enter the iMessage app. The screen looks like the above

You can send a text to someone you have already texted or someone new

Texting someone again
If you are sending to someone you have already texted you can either scroll through the list of names you will see OR

Texting someone again
If you are sending to someone you have already texted you can input their name at the top in the “search” bar

Texting someone new
If you are sending a text to a new person. Touch the small button in the top right of the screen about, it looks like this

In the “To:” section enter the new person’s phone number. If the person is already in your contacts list the name will automatically fill in

After putting in the number. Touch the text field right above the keyboard, then type your message.

Once you’ve typed in the message you like, an arrow will appear next to the message, either blue or green. Push the arrow and the text has been sent.
Message Tip:
Remember, you can only text a cell phone number. If the number you are trying to use is for a landline it will not work. If you don’t know or are unsure ask or call the person to find out
